The Project:

AltaVista Company, an online media and commerce network, wanted to update their intranet to better support their worldwide employee "community."

The Results:

  • A "lifestyle" feel brings together the company's community and creates a site consistent with AltaVista's branding, yet which does not mimic the look and feel of the AltaVista portal.
  • Images depicting life outside of the office distinguish the intranet from the more structured, main AltaVista site and convey a sense of active, multidimensional individuals.
  • We placed Human Resource information in the top navigation bar, making it easily accessible and thereby encouraging employees to feel comfortable seeking out the information they need to do their best work.
